If you go for a little walk from our hotel along Beaufort Gardens and round the corner onto Brompton Road, you can’t help but bump into the world’s favourite department store, Harrods.  And if you’re visiting in January you are likely to see the queue of shoppers waiting for the doors to open to the sale, which makes The Beaufort the ideal base from which to do some sale shopping in London.

Not only do we have our own January sale special offering guests a complimentary £50 Harrods voucher with their stay during January, but we are also now offering you the chance to win a free cream tea for two and a £50 Harrods voucher (no stay required!). Read on to find out how to enter…

Harrods xmas1Beginning as a grocer with just a single room and a handful of staff in 1849, Harrods has grown tremendously where there can now be as many as 7,500 ‘Harrodians’ (Harrods employees) during the sales. Christmas begins early at the store with the annual Christmas Parade in early November and as Father Christmas arrives at his Grotto, the store soon reveals its festive window displays.

If by the afternoon you are all shopped out you can always head back to the hotel to take advantage of the complimentary afternoon Cream Tea available to all guests from 3pm-5pm with homemade scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream. You can also make use of the free WiFi to research the nearby London attractions, West End Shows or even the other nearby sales including Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, or enjoy the unlimited free drinks available from our bar (from 3pm-11pm).

The main prize is a complimentary Cream Tea at The Beaufort Hotel and a £50 Harrods voucher. The closing date of the competition is 4pm UK time on Monday 16th December and the prize must be claimed by March 1st 2014. This competition may be withdrawn and cancelled at any time at the discretion of The Beaufort.   26. I would buy whatever takes my fancy on the day , more than likely perfume as I love smelling nice, as a mum of 4 I know I need to lose a bit of weight but perfume is not weight conscious, you don’t have to be a size 0 to smell amazing

  28. Since my son had an German exchange student (4 years ago) we have continued to exchange Christmas cards and small gifts with the family. I usually try and buy something typically British (that is not available to buy in Germany), this is getting increasingly difficult.   35. Far-flung family means I usually spend Xmas alone and get presents in the post well before the day itself, so I always buy myself some posh chocs to open first thing on Xmas morning as my grown-up version of a selection box. Harrods is sure to have some wonderful chocolatey treats to enjoy.

  44. I would absolutely LOVE to win this – it would be such a wonderful thing to do this winter! I would most definitely use the voucher to buy myself a laptop cover! I have had my laptop for a good couple of years now, however I’ve never found an attractive cover/case for it that was cheap enough to be able to justify buying one! If I were to win this Harrods voucher I could go up to London and really treat myself to the beautiful Marc Jacobs ‘Dreamy Logo Neoprene’ Laptop Case!
