Autumn Walks in London

As the nights start to draw in, autumn brings London to life with colour in preparation for the seasonal festivities yet to come. A walk from the Beaufort’s central location in London can quickly take you from the bustling streets and department stores to the royal parks, museums and coffee shops in which to escape the changeable weather and warm up. Read on for some of the best walks around Central London in autumn.

Clear crisp days in London are perfect for walks in any of London’s Royal Parks but Hyde Park with over 4,000 trees changes from lusciously green to fiery reds, yellows and oranges looking photogenic even on a wet day. Sit by the Serpentine or take in the views from the water before boating closes at the end of October. The walk from the Beaufort Hotel to Hyde Park should only take around 10 minutes passing Harrods and Harvey Nichols.

This seven mile walk will not only give you the chance to see Central London in its autumnal colours but also passes the sights of Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace. While the colder weather may see you want to stay indoors where it’s warm and watch a film, a walk to Brompton Cemetery can take you to the location of many films. GoldenEye, Jack & Sarah, Stormbreaker and Johnny English are just a few of the films that have used Brompton Cemetery, its Victorian gravestones and buildings as a backdrop. The walk from The Beaufort Hotel to Brompton Cemetery will take just over 30 minutes following Fulham Road.
